1) If not in an event; to post a challenge to an enemy/person, you must have 10 Munny at the least, and a character profile accepted. Oh, Madeup-A has met the requirement!
2) She's a slightly frail powerhouse with a balanced edge, in other stats. 12 HP to start, because of her frail form. ( 3+1= ) 4 ATK, ( 1+2= ) 3 MAG, ( 2+1= ) 3 DEF, ( 5-1= ) 4 SPD and ( 5+0= ) 5 LUK. With that done, we can now challenge an enemy! What's that, Madeup-A? A battle against ONE Shadow Heartless...? I'll tell the Staff NPC to get to you on that. The Staff NPC cannot deny that one challenge per day per account, so up pops a itty-bitty Shadow.
3) But before we fight, let's get into general skills that don't belong to the monster; skills that even a person that fights with a wooden sword would know! Oh... I forgot to mention them in the profile? I'll explain here. Libra, or more commonly known as Scan, won't show enemy Weaknesses unless your Character is Magic-inclined, or you win against one foe of that type in the event area... Another skill we have is Guard - blocking is crucial, though only those with a balanced magical affinity can have a full 360-degree area of Defense. This skill is sometime used by an enemy; but usually is a reduction of damage given, even if the hit is successful. Guard only lasts for one turn, and if there were more than one enemy, would only take one attack. If the chance of Counter has made itself apparent after an enemy attack, it would deal all enemies one point of damage. BE CAREFUL! Sometimes, a Boss-type enemy, or even certain tough non-bosses have this skill, as well!
Let's resume. Since the Shadow is slightly faster than Madeup-A at the moment, the Heartless attacks, but winds up epically missing and toppling over, unable to Guard for that foe until the next post, or until that poor blob is beaten!
Oh... Let's look at the accuracy roll. A 2?! No wonder, Madeup-A has an average Speed and Defense, and the combatants are both at the same level! That means that the Shadow had to had rolled a 12 or higher to hit her with her current modifiers, since it had the first turn.
Now it's Madeup-A's turn. The Shadow's miss also means that she doesn't need to post a defensive stance. For her accuracy roll... Holy buckets! 75. That is an impressive blow, though it deals 15 Points of damage to the Heartless after the target's DEF is factored in, more than enough to squish it!
Now let's see... PVP, how does it work; you ask? You will be placed in an Illusion zone of a certain world. Accuracy rolls are applied as predetermined of the Staff starting the event.
This also has Gimmick Platforms - a special area that will give HP recovery orbs to those that stand on them or break them outright. The amount obtained depends on how they happen to be obtained. Obviously, there's not a lot of data on this right now.
The one to stay on their feet longer, wins.

One more thing, each and every character has a default Limit attack, in which a character will be completely unable to be hurt by a foe until their next post, but know this... LIMITS AREN'T ABLE TO BE USED BACK-TO-BACK! You earn the default Limit by fully reading this thread; isn't it cool? They are activated in one of three ways.
I) An event thread lead-up may put one of your characters in a state where they can use their default Limit, or a event-specific Limit.
II) The least reliable, but surprisingly best way to activate the limit is to roll a 100 on the die. It requires no more than that, but due to the nature of things...
III) ...The lower your health, the higher your chances. If you're clinging to consciousness with 1 HP left, you need to roll a 25 or greater, irregardless of the foe's evasion. If you have half your health or less until you hit the last HP, you need a roll of 75 at the least activate it.
I may be rambling, though; I want to broaden my horizons in the least by letting you know this.
Have fun and happy battling!
