((OOC: Because I need practice, I need to get going, and Terra wants a fight apparently. And time to earn back the munny I didn't get because I took insanely long to post my profile.))
Baby-sitting Cloud got old very quickly, and so the silver-haired swordsman soon found himself wandering into the Mirage Arena. Hopefully he would find a human-- or, rather, humanoid-- opponent. Monsters, while crafty, were nothing but animals wielding the powers of darkness, and men were much better at reasoning.
Crossing his arms and leaning against the wall to wait, Sephiroth snorted to himself. Even with the ability to reason, he very highly doubted he would find a suitable challenge...

((Very well, I accept your challenge...! Also...GENERIC ENEMIES! We need you! And shameful stalling until someone gets some stats here.))
Terra had come here at a chance that he hadn't felt this scary an aura at the arena before. It either had to be an Unverse, or so he'd think...another that was seemingly so vile. There was a challenge that required no ticket, just a gutsy one to accept that challenge - in other words, someone - not something; that wanted to fight for strength. He wasn't going to put the chance of taking off his own armor just yet. He was...afraid.
Insane as it was, he also was always looking for a chance to prove himself, though squelching his fear was harder to do than what he'd normally think he would want. As he hadn't accepted the challenge yet... He was going to at least look at the one that seemed to be so oddly attired; maybe talk, too. The symbol at his waist. It's nearly like Zack Fair's... No mistaking it, he looks like a hero, fallen.
"Excuse me, are you that one that issued the challenge? If so, there must be some reason behind it..."

The SOLDIER looked up as he was addressed. The very first thing he thought was that his challenger bore a striking resemblance to Zack, though he was most definitely older... and, hopefully, a little more restrained in his manner.
"Yes. It was me." He straightened up, getting off the wall. "As for the second question... why does anyone fight?"
He had no real reason. He supposed it was merely because he was bored, and because fighting was simply something he enjoyed doing.
"You didn't give me your name."
Hmph. Fear. He could practically smell it.

It wasn't a straight fear... No, it was more of an anticipation than anything, as those that knew Terra would be at a disadvantage if he hesitated in battle at all just because of a fierce aura. "I take it that's your problem to mill over - and none of my concern."
The armored Keyblade holder shifted a bit uneasily. The man was eyeing him with boredom writ on his face; clearly. Then again...I shouldn't flinch in front of such an adversary. He possibly could laugh, or something to that effect; yet isn't. Letting his anticipation die down some left him wondering a bit about the elder and taller male. That assuredness ment that he was powerful and knew it... And he could just about guess reasons left and right, little more than a childish speculation... Until one thing passed by his lips; following his own name.
"Terra." A brisk pause, but not too abrupt that the man would glare at him for interrupting thoughts. "I'm betting that you're pretty powerful, simply fighting anything that dares show its hostility towards you..." Another moment in thought; then, he resumed reassuring his decision with a visible nod. "...That's not my case. However - I'm not one to turn down a practice... If that one man is still around...I'll need all the practice one can percieve and then some."

( ~.~ I was eating pocky... Ah well, here are the stats and Turn orders...
1) Sephiroth - Stats are: HP 25/25, ( 5+7= ) 12 ATK, ( 0+3= ) 3 MAG, ( 4+6= ) 10 DEF, ( 5-2= ) 3 SPD, ( 6+0= ) 6 LUK. 2) Terra - Stats are: HP 18/18, ( 5+3= ) 8 ATK, ( 1+1= ) 2 MAG, ( 3+2= ) 5 DEF, ( 4+0= ) 4 SPD, ( 3+0= ) 3 LUK. 3) This is an Olympus Colisuem Mirage stage! There are only 10 HP Prize Platforms, repeatable use unless they happen to be destroyed. After landing on one to heal oneself, they will move to another area. In this case they will heal the destroyer for double the normal amount. The Victor will earn more Munny when more of these platforms are unbroken. Plan wisely. 4) As Sephiroth issued the challenge...so he will be the the one to be start things off. Repeat until one is unconscious.
Happy Rolling!)

(OOC: Pocky is tasteh ^^ And Terra, I have just confirmed that as I said, I am really slow and often make hilariously incorrect assumptions, as you may note on the REAL value of my roll.)
"You learn quickly."
Sephiroth could almost see the younger man's speculations running through his mind, but if indeed he had them he was not voicing them.
Hm... "That one person?" An intriguing comment, but none of Sephiroth's business.
"Sephiroth." He nodded, ignoring Terra's further comments. "If practice is what you want, you'll find plenty of it here."
Challenger strikes first, as the missive goes--
"Think fast!"

((Wow, you're so right. But ~GE~ has declared that a whiff.))
Terra noticed the ground changing as they spoke, as the man of few words drew his succinctly long blade, Earth Shaker was immediately summoned in retaliation. The other was far stronger, and by far and wide equally as dangerous in his acting arts. Dashing to the side, he had to have been insane... That cutting rush of air had barely missed him at that point; even as he was farther away than that attack should of reached!
This requires something that I cannot do without some extra reach - magic! But...I've none equipped!
Swearing soundlessly and thankful for his own helm and visor, Terra then dashed forwards, and then let loose with a swing of his own. Hoping that he'd be in range was all that the male could do right now... Besides wishing it to become a hit.

((HP: 23/25))
Sephiroth took the blow without flinching-- it was only a scratch, anyway. Both of the combatants were wearing armor... Sephiroth's slowed him down substantially, but power would be what won this fight, and he was confident that he had the upper hand there. Even then, his blade was much longer, giving him the better reach. He would have to watch out for any magic, but this one didn't appear to have much of an affinity for it.
Looks can be deceiving, he reminded himself.
"First blood... Impressive. But mere luck will not win this battle for you."
The same went for Sephiroth, however, so he quickly brought his blade around for another strike.

((HP: 14/18))
"Hngh!" The fully armored male was thrown diagonally backward, barely able to right himself... he relaized that the man hadn't been taking him so seriously before; because he was younger - and yet; that time was a light blow. He could've been killed if he had went for a combo. Gh...
In other times; he wouldn't have wanted to fight such an opponent without magic, and with a base Keyblade...had he been nuts?! Frankly; things were not going his way... But as troubled as he was - he was not going to break the rules here for a win; Terra just knew that he'd wanted to change...but, how could he manage to catch the other off-guard...? Kicking off a wall's pillar, for a momentum boost, Terra tried for another blow.

Hmph! He's in over his head, and he knows it.
But the crashing blow that came as Sephiroth brought his sword up spoke of strength, and his mouth thinned into a tight line as he pushed back against the keyblade. Idly he wondered how a blunt weapon could be considered so powerful.
Maybe, he thought, it was not the weapon, but the wielder. Sephiroth had only met one other keyblade wielder, and considering he had to be half Sephiroth's age he'd given the man quite a fight. They had heart. Was the keyblade the embodiment of their spirit and strength? Terra knew he was the underdog, but he fought on.
The older man locked blades with the Keyblade Master. We'll see who has more spirit...
